Competition Air

Mark your calendars, shooting sports enthusiasts! From October 9–12, 2025, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) will host the Alabama Airgun & Smallbore Cup, a premier event that blends competition, camaraderie, and marksmanship excellence. Held at the Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center in Anniston and the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park, this event promises four days of thrilling action and skillful precision.

The Cup features a variety of events designed for both seasoned competitors and rising stars:

  • 60-shot international air rifle standing
  • 60-shot air pistol matches
  • 3×20 smallbore rifle matches for open and junior categories
  • Target Sprint event on Thursday, October 9
  • Team events and finals with awards ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday

These matches are ranking events with USA Shooting, meaning scores can earn EIC points for qualifying performances.

The Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center, named in honor of CMP’s longtime board chair, boasts:

  • 80 firing points with MegaLink electronic targets
  • A 20,000 sq. ft. air gun range
  • ADA-compliant facilities and spectator-friendly displays

Meanwhile, the Talladega Marksmanship Park will host the smallbore matches, offering a world-class outdoor shooting experience.

Competitors can register online and access essential documents like:

  • Event schedule
  • Rulebooks for air rifle and pistol
  • Liability and consent forms for youth participants

Housing is self-arranged, with plenty of lodging options near both venues.

 The 2024 Dixie Double, a premier air gun competition hosted by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) at the Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center in Anniston, Alabama, concluded on October 27th. This annual event drew top-tier athletes from across the country, making it one of the most anticipated competitions of the year.  The Dixie Double featured two days of intense competition in 60-shot international air rifle and air pistol events for both adults and juniors. The event also included a thrilling Target Sprint, where competitors raced against the clock, alternating between running and shooting at targets.

Pardini Grand Prix air tournament will be held August 3-4, 2024 in Fort Wayne, IN. 
This air rifle and pistol competition is sponsored by The X Count, Pardini USA, Megalink USA,  Capapie Sports, and Peak Performance Shooting. This is an open competition with no age restrictions.
Entry Fees are : Individual: $100.00 Team: $50 total ($25 each) Deadline: Entries close on August 2nd at midnight. Late entries accommodated with a $25 late fee.  All individual competitors will compete in one OPEN division.  Rules are governed by ISSF Rulebook. 

Course of Fire Air Rifle Individual Standing Match (10 Meter) 60 shots in 1 hour, 15 minutes. Finals governed by ISSF rule 6.17. Air Pistol Individual Match (10 Meter) 60 shots in 1 hour, 15 minutes. Finals governed by ISSF rule 6.17. Air Rifle Team Match (10 Meter) Qualification: 30 shots by each team member in 30 minutes. Finals: Top 4 teams advance, bronze medal match followed by gold medal match. Air Pistol Team Match Qualification: 30 shots by each team member in 30 minutes. Finals: Top 4 teams advance, bronze medal match followed by gold medal match. Targets Megalink Scoring System. 

Awards Individual Match: 1st Place: Pardini Evo Air Rifle 2nd Place: Capapie NSG Top Line Suit 3rd Place: $500 Cash Medals: Gold: Awarded in each class (able-bodied, SH1, SH2). Silver: Awarded if more than 10 competitors in a class. Bronze: Awarded if more than 15 competitors in a class.

Participants must register online at https://www.thexcount.com/book-online/. Competitors may enter only once in each discipline and shoot only one relay in the 60 shot match and only once with one teammate in the Team Match.
